Alpine skiing at La Sambuy
With lift-served skiing between 1150m and 1850m elevation, and the possibility of hiking (or touring) to the top of La Sambuy Point at 2198m elevation, this small, extremely friendly ski area, offers a wide variety of activities for anyone who loves the snow and winter sports (alpine skiing, ski touring, “paret” ski sled, “Snake Gliss” sledding, alpine coaster…) on a 100% all-natural snowpack.
Facilities at the ski area:
2 restaurants and 1 snack bar
1 equipment rental shop
2 places to sleep for the night
1 alpine coaster 600m long
And several fun, festive events all throughout the winter…
Getting to La Sambuy
From Annecy, drive to downtown Faverges-Seythenex. From there, follow signs towards Col de Tamié Pass and then to La Sambuy.
From Albertville, drive up to and over Col de Tamié Pass, and then to the village center (“Chef-lieu”) in Seythenex. From there, follow signs to La Sambuy.
Take the free shuttle from far southern end of Lake Annecy (Doussard/Giez/Faverges-Seythenex). There are two rotations per day every day during school holiday periods, and on Wednesdays and weekends throughout the rest of the winter when the ski area is open.

Nordic skiing at Val de Tamié
Nestled in the heart of the Bauges Mountains at 900m elevation, the natural beauty of Val de Tamié makes it the ideal place to enjoy a day of cross-country skiing.
