Owned by the Abbey of Tamié from the 12th century, the Aulp de Seythenex alpine pasture is now the property of the Couchant communal section of Faverges-Seythenex. The buildings date back to the 19th century. During the summer, the chalets are occupied by an alpine herder, who manages a herd of goats or cows depending on the year.
