Imagine life in this place built almost 2000 years ago... The Thovey Gallo-Roman site is an important suburban villa located away from the Casuaria vicus. Only the North wing is still visible and was excavated between 1981 and 1999.

The Gallo-Roman site of Thovey is an important suburban villa of one hectare located away from the vicus of Casuaria. It is made of a rectangular courtyard (60X40m) surrounded with a portico and has two wings of the building on the North and South side. The West part had large size thermal baths and the East part, accommodation.
Built around 50, the site was set on fire around 270.
The objects found in the excavation are displayed at Faverges archaeological museum.
